Adventure to ICA MAX

On Saturday, we took an adventure to ICA MAX (the big supermarket that is meant to be really cheap). We had been told we could walk there but when we began to walk, we found that we would need to be walking along the freeway for around 30 minutes and we felt that to be a little risky. In the end, we walked to a bus stop and asked a very nice Swedish lady how to get there and she recommended we stick with her and catch the 22 or 5 bus from right there. SCORE! No walking. We are such fatties.

Today was a really beautifully snowy day and super cold and we were feeling quite refreshed and everything looked just so great! On the way to the bus stop, I was taking quite a few photos.

The freeway we need to walk down

Waiting at the bus stop

While we waited for the bus, me and Kelsey ventured down a slope to investigate what these yellow balls were on the ground in the bushes. It turned out to be like Apples.... frozen solid! Haha, AWESOME. They were frozen for sure, I was whacking the Apple against a pole and it was pretty hilarious.

As we arrived, we decided to take a brief pit stop and have some Maccas.... my first time in Sweden. The only time I've had it before this was in Amsterdam with a Big Mac to see if it was the same. I continued the tradition here. They taste the same here as well.

Also.... TOBLERONE MCFLURRY!

Shopping in Sweden supermarkets is pretty damn confusing. It is pretty challenging trying to guess what things are from the packaging but it is definitely an interesting experience. I managed to get a pretty good loot so all in all, I would say, GREEEAT SUCCESS!

After our shopping trip, we rushed back to Flogsta so I could meet somebody who was selling me a bike. That is the bike which I just bought and talked about in a post a few back. I'm on a roll hey! Feeling quite blogged out.

Yay for having a bike to get around on. You should also try to find streamers or those cool little beads you put on the spokes that make awesome noises when you ride. Atleast you'll be able to ride it because its a kids bike.

Bet you are thankful for nice ladies who can tell you how to get to the supermarket. Did it actually turn out to be as cheap as it was supposed to be? Also doesn't the uni supply you with meals? Or was it specific things you wanted?

Yay for bike! I have not even touched it since I bought it to be honest. That is because if I try to ride it I will die. That's all. Lol! It's way to cold and snow and ice so I'll be waiting a few more months. I will totaly try and deck out my bike with streamers! Those little beads... I don't think anyone has them here. Maybe it is an american/aussie thing? I'm sure I'll be making plenty of noises when riding cause I'll be squealing haha I haven't ridden a bike in a while and here we don't wear helmets...well you can... but I looked and they are kinda expensive. I think I'll just be careful.

The uni does not supply us food silly. I WISH! We have a kitchen... hmm I should explain my housing I SHALL DO SO. in a blog coming!
