It's Ying Cha not YUM CHA

Yesterday I got a haircut finally!!!!

And we had Ying Cha in the "China Town" of Amsterdam and all in all tried to take it easy. We also had Ollebollen which everyone raves about - they are like big round dough puffs similar to donuts covered in icing sugar. I am getting a bit of a tummy from eating so much! Of dear.

Me being an asian with my Ollebollen bag:

At ying cha, it was so busy we had to take a number and wait like 30 minutes! But look how happy we are doing it.

This is what we ordered, cause I know you guys are familiar with the menu, you know. Cause there were no trolleys - you preordered whatever it was you wanted...

We chatted for so many hours that it was already nearly dark when we left. Then again, it gets dark super early. But you know!

It's hard to get a nice night shot without a tripod. I balanced my camera on a pole and apparently put our newly bought cheese fondue put bag in the place where dogs always pee. Angela was not happy.... ooops

Yeah, the earmuffs are great. You look so happy.

I just found out you had blog. I'm glad you got this started up again :D.

I had a look at this Ollebollen stuff. They are funny looking things. They look like potatoes covered in icing. I think my aunt makes them. Do they have Jam on the inside? If so ... they are delicious.

Gee I love Europe ... the food, the accents and the architecture ;). Yes, ... the architecture (Nick and Darren would know what I'm talking about) ...

Don't forget Krakow and Pierogi on you travels.

Hey!

I don't know that I've ever been so jealous. Ever. Except for the earmuffs. And the talk of cheese. Is there really that much cheese?
May I request a post that doesn't have cheese in it?

Also, Happy New Year!!!

A request for post that doesn't have cheese in it - is noted.

Aw happy new year to you too erin!

Yeah, the Ollebollen's do look like potatoes - that's what I thought too when I first saw them. No Jam in them...I'm sure there are some with them but the original ones are without. they are meant to be served warm with icing sugar.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE :D

Your pictures are absolutely stunning Miss Annie! I love those by the canals- especially the one in the red light district with the swans...not quite the typical setting for Leda and the Swan though! Wishing you a very Happy New Year and am eagerly awaiting your next installment!

Thanks Alex! Swans are definitely a highlight in the red light district! I mean, what else would you be looking at right?

My bad, it wasn't Ollebollen that I was thinking of it was Pączki. They are nice. Mmmm.
