THE BREADVAN - the start of a new era =]

Gee, it has been a while.

I really need to get back into this again - apoligies all around.

You see, it's like this... the last coupla weeks of Uni were HE-E-E-CTIC! And yeah, Uni did finish like 3 weeks ago now... but I've managed to keep myself quite busy - quite quite busy - since uni finished. hehehe, it's been some hectic fun! I'm lovin' it!

I have exciting news though! And that is in the form of my awesome BREADVAN! My first car!  It's a cross between my favourite car- the Suzuki Ignis- and another car I want which is the Hyundai Getz!

Woot! I 'm dead in love with it... It's so cute! It's so handsome!  It's the best thing ever! and my time with it so far has been nothing but  sunshine and lollipops and lotsa lotsa fun!!!! As you can see - my friends like it too :P

There we have one of my worst parks ever
.... and oh I took my Breadvan for it's first carwash the other day - SO. MUCH. FUN!!!!!

Well, that's all for now - just a quick update to say, yes I am very much so alive and yes, I am still using this blog.... exciting stories  to come!!!!

TAG YOU'RE IT!!!

Yo bros! Firstly on the agenda... apoligies are in order for a lack of blogcast being cast into my blog of late. It was an unfortunate situation of crapness, uni-ness and work-ness which rendered me "busy."

Today is the last day of semester for Uni! (heck yes!!!) Now for 2 weeks of exams - or for me, major works upon major works (HECK CRAP!) I have to get my butt down to the beach and collect some seaweed and gross but cool shaped beachy things to take to crapclass - a.k.a. Urban Mapping.

So I am still rushed for time. Luckily, I owe a blog and will have my work half cut out for me. I mean to say, that I have been CHOSEN! Yes, I am the chosen one =]

While I wouldn't like to confess to following "The Rules" - oh yeah, I'm such the rebel! - I also don't like breaking the chain of what I think is quite a cool idea.

So without further adieu, I present to you, The Rules and my consequential blogcast!

The Rules
~ Link to the Blogger who tagged you. She goes by the name of Zoe.
~ In your blog, post The Rules and...
~ Six quirky but unspectacular factoids about yourself
~ Tag six other bloggers by linking to them
~ Go to each person's blog, and leave a comment that lets them know they've been tagged.

Six quirky but unspectacular?
Yeah. Ok? First 6 things that I think of are...

1. I hoard things. It's an unfortunate obsession... as I'm cleaning my room at the moment, and having trouble moving due to the mass amount of things I have er..."collected."
I sulked so badly when my mum chucked away the 18 bottles of Mount Frankins/flavoured waters (some still half full) in my room last month, which I insisted I would need one day to use as a drink bottle... At the moment, I have 7 on my floor hidden in the corner.

2. Bending books is a pet hate of mine. I cannot stand it when people read chapter books with the cover folded over so it touches the back. Anything wider than 45-60 degree angle makes me flinch....  and I hate it when people write in books (both chapter books and textbooks) in anything other than pencil!

3. Hair! As vain as it might sound, I love hair. I constantly strive for airbourne, cool, japanese-y, anime, punky hair!!!! I am still yet to achieve it though. BUT whenever anyone says they like my hair, it puts me on a high for the whole day! WHEEEE!!!!!!

4. Drums! I am expert at air drumming! And I am not ashamed to airdrum loud and proud on all public transport while listening to my mp3...now if only I could be so expert on the real thing...

5. I like to make up my own lingo. One day, I will write music which incorporates this lingo and my band will release our album with a special edition dictionary inside it so that people can actually understand the songs. Fo shizzle my nizzle, it'll be bangin!

6. Weird fact. In my first year of Uni, it seems I have managed to accumulate more shirts for free than knowledge from various events. I have gotten shirts for:
- Unicrew
- Suburban Team with Prince Caspian on it
- AIME - Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience as well as a Hoody
- Rocka with an "N" on it as part of the word ROTWANG.
- Colgate
There are probably more... but other than the hoody, none of these I will probably ever wear again...

So my Chosen People are:

Seeing as I shouldn't tag people who have already been tagged..... i'll add someone on Livejournal...Areyoustrange

Well, I'll leave it to these good people to decide if they wanna continue the chain thing. It's actually kinda hard to get 6 people!

Oh heck, I just found 2 more bottles of water on my table. LOL

Peace out xox

5 cents

I'm at Uni right now. I was just about to leave to go catch the bus and it will leave in about 10 minutes so I need to hurry up.

It costs me $1.50 to get home and I just went through my entire wallet and found I'm 5 cents short. DAMMIT! So instead of running around the uni looking for a spare 5 cent coin or hoping to bump into a friend who can lend it to me, I thought I'd whinge about it on here and run to the bus stop and then just hope the bus drive doesn't mind breaking a 20 dollar note.

But man... don't you just hate it when your 5 cents short?!?!?!?!!

Salads, Carparks and Doggy doos = ACE!

OMG.

Dudes, I discovered an awesome, new shopping centre today! It is in a suburb called Rouse Hill which is up North West Sydney, (42km North West of CBD according to Wikipedia)

I know this sounds pretty random but hear me out, eh. As vain and ditzy as it sounds, I'm a real fan of shopping centres. I love them. I like to go to as many as I can and see which are better. By better, I mean I like to know which ones have better carparks, better designs and wayfinding systems, better shops, and of course, the food court is always worth checking out too! Ha.

Anyway, today's road trip up to Sydney began with a 6am start and a 2 hour drive up to the Hillsong Service. That was pretty cool. After that, by recommendation of a family friend, we found ourselves in Rouse Hill's shopping centre, which is apparently only just opened late last year so everything is still.. all shiny and NEW! (heck yes)

So first bang wow whammy to make this centre a stand out amongst others was the carpark. They have this special system there where you drive in and there's red lights over all of the parking spots which are occupied and green lights over the vacant ones making it a cinch to get a spot! That's not all. As you drive around, there's signs at each turn telling you how many empty spots are in that aisle so if there isn't any, you know not to bother. Do you kinda get me?

Oh and when I parked in, there is a sensor above my spot which senses my car and the light turns Red to indicate my spot is now occupied! Wow, it was really, really cool. I took a photo on my new phone thing (cause it has a camera now and all-big woop) but I can't figure out how to bluetooth it onto here, so no photo for you. I'm sorry :(

So the fantastic carpark paved the way to a really colourful and, interestingly designed shopping centre. It was one level only, and set out as 4 separate blocks in a square shape. You walk through the block and go to the other block by crossing a closed street which was also full of shops. So, if you guys have good enough imaginations with my crappy description - it is really kinda strange but cool. There were also road signs everywhere and lots of crazy colour coded areas.

The other weird thing about the place was that the actual four buildings were more like half buildings - an open mall, that is to say, that parts of the mall had a roof and others didn't. It was like, if you were shopping in there and it rained, you would need an umbrella and then you wouldn't when you walked to, I dunno say, Target which did have a roof. Yeah!

So the whole mall was lit up by natural sunlight and it was like walking around a themepark because there was all these playgrounds, and little sideshow game things and the weirdest looking bench chair things (eg. some were benches which then morphed into tables, some were like upside down mushrooms). Everything was just odd.

I also took a photo of this thing on the side of the "mall road thing" which was a doggy doo station, where if your dog poos, they provide all the facilities you need to clean it up but again, sorry :(

Hmm, what else?... oh yes! The food court! Well it has all the fastfood typicals eg. "Mcinedible, KFC, Subway (but not $3.95 subs - bah), as well as your typical fake asian food, kebab shops, crepes, sushi, sandwich bar, and this place which I had heard of called, Sumo Salad!!! Here I can show a photo which I scabbed off their site.

So, OK. It's obviously a salad bar. Big deal , right? Yeah, that's what I thought too but as I'm trying to eat healthy, I thought I'd get a salad because my gosh they looked tasty. I took their menu brochure thing and every single salad looked, like, damn these are the best salads I have ever seen! So what you do is, you order what you want, and they make it on the spot and it takes a few minutes but you watch them get the ingredients, cook things like chicken, beef etc. if you are having that, and present it to you in them boxes like Noodle Box does, with the Box and the metal handles! And I have never tasted anything so good. So It was amazing. A bit pricey, but, considering it was a dollar more than Oporto charges for a salad and it was about 5 times bigger and nearly impossible to finish, and a hundred kazillion times better in quality, it is worth it.

It's also really filling! I eat a lot like crazy but I had that salad at 2 and now it is 11:30 and I havn't had anything since except a Chai Latte, and I'm still FULL!....nuts! (speaking of nuts, my salad had almonds in it)

Right, so anyway. Good place to go, this Rouse Hill, it's so new, the actual suburb (houses and residential such such) is being built now around the shopping centre and they have so far built a library too. Yew! Oh I also finally bought Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows from Borders (yay Borders) there for 10 bucks and now the collection is complete.

Just to sweeten the deal I'll throw in a free phone...(not another one!)

Alright, so I've always found it really hard to say No.

I mean, it was this inability to say No that landed me with a new phone (as I mentioned in a previous blog) and it was this inability to say No that saw me nearly miss my bus when I had my first encounter of Jehovah's Witnesses a couple months ago. (The bus was there but they just wouldn't stop talking and who was I to interrupt them?...lucky the bus driver was nice - *ahem* DION'S bus driver might I add)

So, team that with my refusal to hang up the phone before the other person, it really is quite the problem when I get calls from Telemarketers. Luckily, I have been somewhat sheltered from that too and until today, had only had 2 encounters. Both times, I got so close to getting sucked in before getting saved last minute. Then, I got quite a few lectures from friends after them about how I have to just hang up on them.

Well, I just got off the phone with my 3rd telemarketer ever!!! It was a guy from Telstra - no he wasn't Indian. It took me a while to realise that it was a people-I-must-hang-up-on type of call and by then, I had already er and ah-ed myself to a new phone for free, and 200 buck bonus so I didn't have to pay anything for the first 10 months. And being the cheap skate that I am, I wasn't going to hang up anymore.

The thing is, why should I hang up on them? One. They called me. Two. He was a really nice guy. Three. It's just rude.

So I just loosened up a bit, lost the er and ah's and just had a nice conversation with the guy. Showed genuine interest in what he was flogging, asked lots of questions because I honestly know nothing about how a plan works, made him explain to me all the fine details of changing my plan, explained about how I like freecall too much, explained how I only just got a new phone and explained my hate of change.

It was really great, nobody ever wants to listen me go on and on about how hard it was for me to change phones and how it sucks people aren't on Optus Prepaid cause I can't call them and how the new iPhone is just completely overrated. But he did! I knooow he was getting paid for it. And I knooow he was trying to telemarket me. I don't care. It was funny, I just kept on chatting and chatting. We were having a full on discussion about whether or not Optus or Telstra was better (you can guess who was on which side) until he eventually decided to "let me get back to what I was doing."

Ah well, it had been over 15 minutes, can't blame him really.

It sure was fun though, I can't wait till the next one calls!

OLLA AMIGOS, PHOTOS FROM MOOCHA CHOSE

Olla!

I have finally uploaded the photos of Amigos Night. They aren't best of quality but not too bad considering it's a video camera. My digital camera decided to take a rest for the night with whines of low battery power... can't blame him. I work him pretty hard and as everyone says, "everyone is getting sick lately."

It was an ace night! We had 3 sombreros to share, plenty of tacos, cocktails and singstar (till 3am) to keep us entertained...and, of course, the Amigos".

We had a heated argument *ahem* discussion on the best order in which to make a taco. Half feel that it is the mince first, then cheese so it melts and then the salad and the other half feel it is lettuce first as the cheese has to be on the top. Any opinions??? It's still an unresolved argument....

The following day, after a good sleep in, we took our Amigo spirit down to the beach. I think Sombreros will be the next big thing!!!!

Due to restrictions Mr Blogger.com imposed, I can't seem to upload anymore. Ah well, if you want more.....  beg =] mwaahahahaha

A piece of crap could not be crapper

Far out.

I'm deathly sick at the moment, the kind where you can hardly function, am oh so sleepy and need tissues by the boxful.

I had to go to work anyway and make myself function and run around for 8 hours straight - 3pm to 11pm. I did that last night too, when I was feeling even worse.

I am now limping due to being on my feet all day, coughing and blowing my nose due to sickness, bumping into things and getting bruises due to exhaustion, stressing due to having to perform the drums tomorrow with no practise, and feeling like I'm on fire due to having just been force fed an absolutely massive bowl of Ginger Soup.

Yes, my Mum's method of curing me quickly is to boil lots and lots of ginger and sweet potato and sit there and make me drink it while it burns my everything. That was after making me eat a big plate of peas, carrots and spinach. What a way to come back from work.

Worse still, it's apparently Daylight Savings tomorrow and I have to go and work at my other job at 8am....which means 7AM!!!!

Bah. A piece of crap could not be crapper. Let's hope that Ginger Soup works.

When Broken is Easily Fixed - If only :(

I just wanted to say that computer viruses suck and I curse the people who created/create them. I don't understand why they have to ruin it for everyone else, especially me. All I want to do is love my computer in peace :(

I have tried every possible virus scanner and still my computer is clogged up with virusey snot and running a dangerously high fever from doing absolutely nothing. It does absolutely nothing because as soon as I turn it on about 10 errors and virus related things fill my screen and I have to go through a marathon of clicking No, Decline, and Block before Spybot then tells me to restart the computer to get rid of the 36 viruses and threats it has found. To which, the cycle then starts again but worse each time.

One improvement is that the virus which caused my desktop background to become permanently white (leading to a bad case of snow blindness) has now rendered my background to look like this...

Yes that's right, the virus has tattooed a reminder that it still exists onto my background just to spite me for trying to kill it, and I cannot get rid of it or change the background.

It really is the pits.

It's times like these I guess I can appreciate having a laptop as a backup so I can at least still have a computer of sorts....even if it is Apple.

But honestly, I am now at a complete loss as to what to do. It breaks my heart to see my beautiful baby so sick :'(

2 intense hours of drumming

After 2 intense hours of drumming, I'm beat. (geddddit?)

But damn, it felt good! I haven't had a chance to play for soooo loooong....

Man oh man oh man, I wish I could play as well as all the drummers I've seen live; like that drummer last night, or the drummer from Flamingo Crash, or the drummer from Jason Mraz's band, or the drummer from Sum 41, or the drummer from Kisschasy or the drummer from Blink 182 - Travis Barker (even though I havn't seen him live)...or any other epic-ly good drummer really.

I wish my drumkit a little more like this:
(Oh Stevo 32 you are so awesome)

And not like this:
(And yes I did take it in a way that the mirror makes us look like we have more toms and extra cymbol...sorta.)

Or how about this!

Holy Moly. That is cool. Even if it is from a Hilary Duff video clip...

Blind Babies and Urban Mapping

Alright, so forgive me for sounding completely retarded if it is but I honestly thought it strange. I saw a kid in a pram today, like a baby.... well not a baby, maybe a little bit older than a baby baby. Do you know what I mean?

Hmm... I mean to say, I saw a really little kid but being as inexperienced with infants as I am, I really couldn't be sure of an age. Perhaps 2? Perhaps 1? It was at the kind of age where they can't walk yet. This kid, though, was wearing glasses. Is that weird? Or is that just me? I really honestly was like... la la la... hey WHAT??!?!?

I mean it could be a problem with his eyes from birth, and if so, that really does suck. But I mean, babies that age can't read yet can they? So what the heck? Did it just watch marathon upon marathon of the Wiggles followed by some intense Sesame Street? I don't even understand how a baby could be capable of understanding that this annoying contraption is meant to stay on its nose. Impressively, this one seemed capable.

In other news, I went on a most ridiculous "excursion" yesterday for one of my creative arts classes called "Urban Mapping." We took it thinking we were going to be creating artworks based on areas of the city involving photography, videos and passerby interviews. Sounds pretty cool when the other choice was to draw nudes. Instead, we were taken to the beach to climb rocks, walk over all the sand dunes, learn about how these cliffs came to be and watch a video made for children on the history of Wollongong at the Museum of Wollongong (yes we have a museum). The narrator had a really crappy fake "Australian" accent and looked like he was pretending to be Abraham Lincoln or something.

Somehow, we are now meant to create an artwork out of that using 4 large pieces of cardboard and doing things like making people walk over them at the beach or leave it in a drain for a week so that the environment is "immersed" in our artwork. Inspired? No. Confused? Yes.

I got some kickarse photos though and it was definitely funny seeing people out of their comfort zone - it's clear the beach isn't everyone's cup of tea.

I thought this was a cool photo, looks like we are walking in a line off the cliff - very pied piper.

Pretty shot, eh?

LOL at the people jumping awkwardly on the rocks and there's a guy with a bike too..
Sitting like kindergarteners listening to our wacko lecturer tell us about the Russian Revolution.
Well, anyway, it was quite the experience. Maybe I would have been better off drawing nudes.

RIP my beloved NOKIA 3120 (July 2005-September 2008)

It's been exactly a week. So here I present to you my grammatically incorrect, tense-hopping rave about my difficult transition to my new phone. A most horrific and treacherous journey.

A week ago, this was my phone. A beautiful brick, the Nokia 3120, the best model to have ever been created.

My old phone, how I loved you. You were everything a phone should be, everything I needed.

When I dropped you, you stayed strong. You continued to do your job when the younger, more hip phones would have conked it.

When someone dropped their phone and screamed about it breaking and being scratched, you were the one i pulled out to brag that you had the balls to handle it. And when you did get scratched, you didn't mind when I changed your cover.

You let me press your buttons knowing it gave me immeasurable pleasure. My fingers are forever in your debt for training them to type my mobile number over and over at impressive speed without looking; a skill I will treasure for life.

When I felt like spinning something, you were there to keep me entertained with your special balancing skills and ability to double as a spinning top. Similarly, you doubled as the perfect ball to toss and spin in the air and catch with no fear of any harm befalling you as you were as sturdy as sturdy goes.

You kept my life in check with your calender, ensuring I never forgot birthdays, events, or when I had to work.

You always kept me in suspense when a text message came through, making me delete a message or you wouldn't give it to me.

And when I did receive my message, you rang nonstop like it was a call, a ringtone noone could forget, especially me.

I knew you so well, I could text without looking and oh so speedily.

I knew you so well, I could turn you on silent with you still in my pocket.

You dwelled for so long in my pockets, my jeans will forever sport the imprint of you.

But alas, it's time.

Here's my new phone. A Samsung E250.

I bought it thanks to a certain friend who thought it would be nice to empty my wallet of 100 bucks and ruin my life by forcing upon me, change. I do not like change. I do not like this new "fangled" technology. I do not like the idea of having a phone which won't last me the years my phone has. I do not want to have an mp3 player on my phone when I have a perfectly good one already. I do not need a crap camera on my phone when I carry a great digital camera with me at all times. And most of all, I did not want to give up my old phone.

Yet, this time exactly last week, I was sitting at home with THIS SAMSUNG THING (with a camera, mp3 player, fm radio and bluetooth compatible)... in my hot little hands, trying to work out how to reply a text message. Oh the humiliation of not being able to whip off a text in seconds. It took me close to 15 minutes.

But as I always say, I am open to new things, so I decided to give this... this...Samsung E250 a week to prove its worth. Samsung of all phones too.....I've been a Nokia fan since I got my Nokia 3120 in July 2005.

That's more than 4 years man!!!!

The first 2 days were torture. I missed every single call on the berloody phone because I didn't know how to make it vibrate on silent. I lost all of my dates in my calender and was completely and utterly miffed as to what to do with my life, not to mention what time I started work. My messages were illiterate jumbled attempts at texting with the Samsung system. My habitual button pressing addiction was replaced with the motion of sliding the phone open and close ..... ahh.h..h..h.hhh.hhh...

And there it was, the sliding, the eventual downfall to my vendetta against new phones (this new phone anyway) followed by this amazing concept called BLUETOOTH. Get this, I can now... send myself music and pictures from my laptop, ONTO my PHONE and actually have my favourite song as my ringtone!!! (for FREE!!!) I can even make the picture my background....no more optus smiley face background for me!!!

And as I became better at texting
And as I worked out how to make my phone not beep at me everytime I pressed a button
And as I worked out I could turn my phone on silent with just one button....

I realised, maybe this was a change I could handle. Maybe it was time for a change, for my Nokia 3120 to retire and take a chillpill. Maybe the Samsung thing could learn to become everything I needed and wanted in a phone. I did pay the same price for it as I did for my Nokia 3120...

Maybe these new phones aren't so bad?... Well, just this new phone anyway. I rate it.

I don't mean to Beat a Dead Horse but...

While I study both marketing and graphic design; and thus should understand how businesses and their advertising strategies work, I will admit that I can sometimes be incredibly brand loyal. I mean, most people who know me would have probably heard me rave on and on about how great my
Creative speakers are, and how BENQ is awesome, or in the previous blog about my HP printer... or how I think Belaroma coffee is THE ultimate coffee and Derwent sharpeners (full steel) are the only ones fit for my pencils. How Windows Media Player (version 10) will always rip Itunes, and naturally PC and Windows XP are just perfection - pah to Vista and all things Apple :p haha.

But hey, if you stand to protest, I will go on about the Mac PC argume-....discussion another day, I have bigger fish to fry! (In terms of fish - Greenseas Flavoured Tuna is 98% fat free!)

But enough about that. Case in point, there is a lot of things, brands I guess, which I am quite attached to and I'm sure if you thought about it, you'd be the same. One such company that I quite like - to which I had many an argument with rival company users (e.g. Jess, Katie) during my high school days - is the Dion's Bus Service :) ahhh... and while of course, Premier does have many more routes and sure, I would have to catch a Premier bus if I had to go somewhere other than from Austimner to Wollongong/University, I still believe they are nicer looking buses and that they are better.

To bring up this old argument is probably not ideal, I think the phrase is (I'm gonna need to look up some idioms here).. hmm... crying over spilt milk? or... I should "let the sleeping dogs lie" ....to er... "Pipe down" and "Put a Sock in it," BUT the "ball is already rolling" and if you really have that much of an issue with it, I expect you will just "turn a blind eye."

So OK enough, it's "water under the bridge" and I did promise myself that this was going to be short. So to "cut to the chase" This is what happened today which I feel places Dion's in quite a higher position then where it ended in the last argument we had on Dion's vs. Premier.

It was really nice and sunny this morning and I happened to be running late as per usual. I realised I had about 5 minutes till my bus came and gave myself 4 to get there. As I'm walkin up the street which connects to the highway, the Dion's bus shoots past with only 30 seconds until I reach my busstop. CRAP! I think. I missed it again, what'm i gonna do? As there is 2 possible Dion's busses it could have been -  like I said in a previous blog where I missed the bus but it turned out to be the other Dion's bus - I thought I'd take my chances and just wait at the bus stop and see what happens.

Alas, as luck would have it, the bus that came shortly after and I am meaning like 30 seconds later, was indeed the Wollongong bus meaning I had missed the University one. I had to think quickly, should I get on this one and go to the mall? ...I could get another $3.95 sub from Subway!.... or I could catch this bus to North Gong station and walk. ... that option wasn't ideal but it would have made more sense than missing class and eatin Subway. So I got on the Wollongong bus, and said to the bus driver,

"Student to North gong station please"
He said, "what?"
"um.. North gong station please"
He said "oh... but you're going to Uni aren't you? Did you just miss the bus?"
"Oh... *embarassed expression* yea... yea I did"
He said, "damn... how long ago did it go pass?"
"Ha.. like 30 seconds.."
He said, "OH! well thats fine, hurry up and sit down, we'll see what we can do for you!"
"Er..um? ...er ok?" *sits down in the very front seat in a confused manner...*

He then proceeds to grab his walky talky thing, contact the bus driver driving the Uni bus I missed and told him to wait at the next stop for me. Before rushingly giving me a lift to the next stop, where my Uni bus is indeed at Fairy Meadow Woolworths station waiting for me! (FOR ME!) He then drops me off, me uttering my thanks and running to the waiting bus where I again say thanks a whole lot and find the driver only charges me my fare to Uni from the Woolworths stop! That's 90cents instead of $1.50!

How AWESOME is that?!?!!

There are no photos of Dion's busses so I found this one I took in Melbourne of a Melbourne bus... many great stories about our bus experiences there too. But save those for another day ;) Dion's would be the ultimate if they were covered in cherries though....

It's PURIKURA PHOTO TIME!!!!

I have a really brilliant scanner. I got it for my birthday 2 years ago and I think it'sace. It is HP brand and has a lot of functions which I don't understand... I know it can turn photo negatives into positive scans somehow. I don't understand how, but basically, it's a real good one, at least it was 2 years ago. It's a real shame that I don't have time to use it enough. In fact, in its lifetime, my beloved scanner has not been busy scanning my work - which there isn't a lot of - but scanning a lot of Purikura. It's really perfect for that because one of the functions allows you to magnify what you scan by 300% without blurriness and in quite good quality.

Purikura is sticker photos; an awesome Japanese craze which I got a taste of on my trip to Japan in year 11 and have thus passed the addiction to many a friend. You gotta try it to understand it's brilliance! There's a big purikura precinct up in Sydney which is just awesome although fair expensive.

This is what the purikura crazy place looks like basically... but filled with lots of happy girls and good looking guys with nice hair cuts, and happy azn music....

What you do is you go with all your friends, get your photos taken amidst the crazy azn-ness with crazy backdrops or in weird scenarios in photoshoot style. Then you get to play with it and add things, words, funny moustaches etc. LIke this...but not in Sepia (sorry I really like Sepia)

That's us editing some of our ...er..lovely photos... o
k here I'll put a google-d in colour one too just so you can see how incredibly colourful it is! WA HOOO!!!

So why am I talking about scanners and purikura anyway? I know it's fairly random. It's just I happened across my folders of purikura and realised that I've scanned a heap of them up, using my awesome high-tech computer and although I always mean to post pictures up on myspace or email them out, it seems this year or so I've gotten quite slack with it... since the demise of my msn blog i think. I decided, I'll post a couple up here, perhaps an incentive to get some more people to join the blogging revolution!!! even if it's just to leave a comment. It worked for my msn blog after all and considering how slow the connection was, that's fair impressive.

I don't know how quality, sizing and stuff will work out so this is just a trial. I'll post a couple here and see how it works out. But YAY!!!! PURIKURA PHOTO TIME!!!!!!

I can't help but LOL at Matt with a moustache, and TOILET WOMAN

And Pixie with Penis-itis... AHH HAHAHAHA and the shock when we realised omg Jess's eyes are closed!!! You can't tell when the actual stickers we got are so small....

Sorry they are messily arranged, I don't much rate the way this site gets us to handle the images after uploading them. A lot like Word... Something to take up with Mr Blogger.com

Peace out xox
